A letter from Mom
Easton,
I would like to preface this letter with the fact that I am not a great writer so bear with me. Please do not mind any spelling, punctuation, or gramatical errors ;) Aunt Kim and I were talking and thought it would be a cool idea to write to you and her to cousin Hunter and then you can read them when you are older. So here is my first letter to you dear son:) You are one year old!! Holy cow, when did that happen!! We had a rough first couple of months when you were born because you had a milk protein allergy, if you don't know what that is you out grew it, look it up. It means your first couple months of life you cried a lot and did not do much sleeping. You have however, grown to be such a happy and wonderful little boy! Everyone who sees you always says how happy and smiley you are and they are right. You are always smiling and laughing. Your Dad and I love you very much! I don't know what I would do if I never had you in my life!
For your first birthday we had a party at our house. We invited all of the family and some friends including Carson. You were born on the same day as him and we wheeled you down to say hello to him and his parents after you were born. Anyways, we had a dinosaur themed party and it was so much fun. Your dad and I bought some dinosaur decorations, I made " Dinosaur eggs" (http://www.ourlittlesins.com/2012/01/dinosaur-party.html )that you cracked open and inside was a little plastic dinosaur that grows with water. You guys had fun with that. We also played pin the head on the dinosaur skeleton. I made you a cake which I am sure I will tell you about many years to come because I was so proud of the cake. I am sure there are pictures of it somewhere.
We have been having lots of fun your first year of life. This winter Dad made the burley on skiis and we (Aunt Kim, Grandma and I) took you skiing a lot this winter. You went in the burley wrapped up in a blanket or in a little plastic sled with a back on it that I pulled. We had lots of fun! Now that the weather is getting warmer we go on walks at halfway creek with Kim and cousin Hunter. We have our 3 wheel Jeep stroller that pretty much can go through anything including slush and mud, yeah spring weather...although today was 70degrees! It was beautiful. You and I played out on the deck with some of your toys. Bailey and Monte were out there too. Bailey was digging holes in the lot next door and Monte ate some grass. It was a great day except that Daddy is sick and has been in bed for the past 2 days. He never gets sick so he is REALLY sick! Hopefully, he feels better soon.
Well we have one more day off together tomorrow before I have to work nights this weekend! I better get to bed because you get up at 0630 on the dot :) Love you little man!
